Loveroff attended the Ontario College of Art from 1913 to 1917 where he studied under G.A. Reid, J.W. Beatty and future Group of Seven member J.E.H. MacDonald. Loveroff’s group memberships, exhibition and collection credits attest to the attention he received in Canadian art circles. As the exhibition catalogue (1981) concludes: “Although overshadowed by the Group of Seven, he was able to develop his own style. Loveroff combined a close observation of nature and a keen colour sense to form a personal vision of the Canadian scene.”
